Disney Vacation Club – Cast Members?
OfflineHello all, I need a little information on the Disney Vacation Club: Living in Europe it is not a thing I know much about.
I understand there are seven “Disney” resorts as well as other locations…
• Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas (Walt Disney World)
• Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (Walt Disney World)
• Disney's Beach Club Villas (Walt Disney World)
• Disney's Old Key West Resort (Walt Disney World)
• The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (Walt Disney World)
• Disney's BoardWalk Villas (Walt Disney World)
• Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina)
• Disney's Vero Beach Resort (Vero Beach, Florida)
Furthermore there are “reps” in the Parks and Resorts selling the Club…
So here are my questions
Are the “reps” DVC Cast Members or local Resort Cast members
Are the DVC Resort location Cast Members or employuees of another company?
All of this to say, should I add DVC Cast Members (if indeed they are Cast members) to this community?

By no means am I experienced in this part of the company myself but I pretty sure that they are hired locally at each resort. I think they would be considered DVC CMs under their local Disney Resort.
Just so long as they are Disney Cast Members and not say, Sheratan or Marriott - Anyone?
Well, that wouldn't make much sense from the company perspective, not to say that the don't subcontract, but why would they allow 3rd party employees to maintain booths in the park w/ Disney name tags. Also, DVC resorts are privately owned by the company are they not? Which further brings me to the conclusion that DVC CMs have total dibs here at AtM.

The reason I asked is that in Paris Marriott run the "time Shares"... BUT their reps can only work in the Disney Village (non ticketed area)
I have little problem with the idea that the sales teams are real Cast Members... but i wanted to check for the seven Disney Resort teams. I am aiming to be inclusive of all Cast Members if i can, I just want to be careful in my definitions.
Come on there must be a DVC rep reading this... Please?

When I was at The World, the VC CM were trained specifically to themselves as their own entity, a section of the WDC and they were 'stationed' at the different resort desks as need be.
I know there was a desk at the Grand Floridian for sure at the time and I can't imagine it changing.
Are you asking if those are the ONLY resorts that they were stationed at or if those are the ONLY resorts that exist in the parks and owned by Disney in that region? (If it's the later, then no there's a lot more.)
