Funny how songs transport us right back in time ....the songs which take me right back to the crazy dazy days and nights of EuroDisney are
Mr Vain
Greased Lightening
Ace of Base- All that she wants
U2 -Sunday Bloody Sunday
Corona-Rhythm of the night

God loads more but they just spring to mind!!! Used to love Hurricanes...oh and that mad night club in Meaux it was like some thing outta a Tarantino Movie....
!!

When I first arrived in France the Resort, let alone Cast Member accommodation were no where near ready so many of us were housed in hotels around Paris. I ended up in an Ibis hotel in Aubervilliers – La Courneuve aka the French Bronks… nice!

Between the residents of the hotel we made up our own version of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Our version went…

On the first day of Disney Mickey said to me the hotel is temporary,
On the second day of Disney Mickey said to me you don’t need much French,
On the third day of Disney Mickey said to me we pay good rates…

I am ashamed to say I can’t remember too much more…

The other top tune from around the opening of Euro Disney as it then was, was Vic Reeves and the Wonderstuff’s song Dizzy re-christened Disney…

Five For Fighting - Disneyland
No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Faith Hill - Fireflies
All have direct connections back to the Disney company in some way. Tragic Kingdom is sad but has the famous spiel from the Matterhorn at the very beginning.
Then "LeAnn Rimes - Remember When" was used for the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland after the firework show, great song

-Paul "I love practicing mathmatics with the captchas" Torres

I remember when I started at TDS in 95, the movie Lion King had just come out on VHS (and Laser Disc) and so songs from that movie always make me think about when I started there.

Having worked at the Sequoia Lodge when it was empty, empty, empty in anticipation of refurbishment in the Fall of 1993, anything by Johnny Cash reminds me of EuroDisney. His Greatest Hits played on repeat and I sat at my cash register with little to do other than hear him sing about a man named Sue, and a burning ring of fire.

For the longest time whenever an audio tech came to set up the PA for a convention in the Newport Bay Club's conference centre the one track that ALWAYS got used for the test was the @Groove Armada's song "If Everybody Looked The Same "

From the epcot days anything by the Beatles as every couple of hours the tribute Beatles group would play in the bandstand and some of us would run over to Dance with the guests in the sun!!

Anything from Johnny Cash's greatest hits since it was played over and over and over at the Sequoia Lodge at EuroDisneyland in the gift shop when I was there.

When I first worked with WDW Creative Services we were designing the 15 Years of Magic parade and listening to an album (CD) from a group named Level 42 - "Something About You" - I heard the title track last week and flashed right back to the double-wide trailers that where hooked together to make the "Sustaining Engineering" and "Creative Services" offices.

When the Shuttle exploded my buds and I were listening to CDs of Art of Noise and The Talking Heads - when the weather is cool and the sky is clear I can sometimes hear those tunes and space-out a bit...

Chicago's "Saturday in the Park" has always been a Magic Kingdom reminder for me and the EPCOT main-entrance theme (I wore out the Music of EPCOT.)

Just heard The Stranglers song La Folie for the first time in years, it was one of those songs in French that i tried to use to learn the language - but being the stranglers it was a little dark for the job...

Reading the posts about the Wild West Show made me think about "Somewhere other than the night" by Garth Brooks it was the song all the girls played the summer a few of the native Americans moved in to the boiserie for a few weeks...

It will sound SO CLICHE'! but mainly: "Be Our Guest" - B & B

After that maybe...
"I Will Follow Him" - Sister Act (People kept asking for the music.)

----------------------------------
Having our hair done together at the Poly - She points at the area below my neck and says: "Is that really 'all you Dear'?" - Mrs Eisner
(What do you say when the bosses mother says that to you? I turned red.)

I worked at WDW during the 25th anniversary, so Remember the Magic takes me right back there. Also, oddly enough, anything by No Doubt. I didn't know who they were when I got down there but thanks to my roommate, I knew every song from their first cd when I left.
