Remember, it all started with a mouse!

A Photo curticy of friends on Flickr

Those of us who worked for Disney, especially its Theme Parks, Resorts and Disney Stores, have long been asking one question whenever Cast Member get together, "You remember the kid who worked with us that summer? I wonder what happened to them...?"

Join The community by clicking here Since July 17th 1955 when Walt Disney opened his first Theme Park in Anaheim, the magic that started with that Mouse has been kept alive by generations of Cast Members.

This site is a community for those same Cast Members to get together and find old friends once more and maybe make new ones.

Cast Members with Beards - its official +

"After nearly 60 years, Mickey Mouse has decided to let his workers put their razors away. The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that it would let employees at its two U.S. theme-park resorts — including its more than 60,000 workers at Walt Disney World — grow beards or goatees. The new policy, which takes effect Feb. 3, eliminates a facial-hair ban that has for decades been a source of grumbling among some of the company's male theme-park workers." Origional Report

The Disney Family Museum - A Cast member Review +

When ever heading to San Francisco visitors usually have to pick and choose where they want to go based off what excites them. Well now there is another option to choose from or, for anyone that is a Disney fan, a must visit. The Walt Disney Family Museum is found in The Presidio of San Francisco and looks over the bay, including the Golden Gate Bridge. From the outside, the building itself feels like something that could be found on Main Street U.S.A. Once you enter the building, the world you’re in seems to transform into something only Walt himself could have possibly imagined

Jamming the Spamming +

Since the new look site was launched a little over two months ago I am pleased to say that the vast majority of the feedback has been very complimentary – with one exception – Spammers!

I recently had an email from a fellow Cast Member to report a fake member who was spamming their inbox. Needless to say that fake member has been barred and the account deleted.

To try and curb future spammers I’ll be adding a couple of road bumps to the messaging process – which will of course have a knock on effect on everyone who uses the site. I sincerely hope the pro’s out weigh the cons.

20 years of EuroDisney anyone for a road trip? +

Messieurs Dames, Ladies and Gentlemen – it is almost 20 years since some of the members of this community first met in a sleepy corner of Marne-la-Vallee France. Would any of you care to meet up again on April 12th (2002 Doh!) 2012? Let me know – please comment below! For those of you on Facebook there is a group set up.

Disneyland Paris Big Thunder Accident Update +

From Disney and More blog. His reportage on the Paris Disneyland Big Thunder Mountain accident has been excellent. Since my initial report on the 25th, here are a few updates that he managed to scoop.

Accident on BTM in Paris +

From The Disney Blog.

Around 2:50 pm today, pieces of decorative faux rock at Disneyland Paris’ Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster attraction fell and struck guests riding the attraction. Five guests were hurt. Four were treated at the park, however one ‘serious’ head injury was taken to the hospital. Our best wishes are with him and his family while he recovers.

Kind Words +

The new look site is attracting great feedback, and I thank you all for your kind words.

There is a little editing for me to do, a few tweaks to make to the servers to get all the new features I want to add running, but as always I’ll keep you informed.
