TDS - UK - Cardiff

I'm originally from Wales in the UK. I gained a bachelors degree in music in 2007... after graduation I had the classic post-graduating job nightmare. I really couldn't find that ideal musicians job I wanted. Then my mind wandered to travelling and I had always known about the international programs they ran in Disney World, Florida. Seemed like a perfect travelling experience!

So I applied to the year long program at Epcot... got offered a completely different position and that's where my career originally began with the Walt Disney Company.

In October 2007 I became a Christmas temp at the Disney Store in Cardiff, while I was waiting to go to Florida. I left Cardiff in January 2008 to do the International College Program at Disney World. I ended up in a merchandise position in the futureworld area of Epcot. Pin Central, Club Cool, Art of Disney.

I was bitter at first being denied the opportunity to audition for entertainment but I made the most of the role and I'm not sure any other experience will ever match the memories I made there. I was very sad to leave so many great people behind when I returned to the UK in August 2008.

Right now I'm back at the Disney Store, Cardiff but I have a position with Disney Cruise Line and will be joining them in the coming months.

I always knew I was going to work for an entertainment company and Disney seem like the perfect match for me.

My favourite Disney character is Abu from Aladdin!

Worked at DLP summer 1998 in Ticketing and then on and off for a few years at the Disney Store in Cadiff, UK.
